Terms of Service

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Welcome to Andy's Auto Services ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and your engagement of our auto repair and maintenance services in Tacoma, Washington and nearby South Sound communities. By accessing our website or requesting a quote, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About These Terms

These terms describe the general rules that apply to working with us. Any specific repair you book with us will be governed by a separate written repair order or estimate that details the scope of work, pricing, and schedule. When there is a conflict between these Terms of Service and a signed repair order, the signed repair order controls for that repair.

2. Estimates and Diagnostics

2.1 Free, No-Obligation Estimates

We provide free, no-obligation estimates for most repairs. Initial quotes provided online or over the phone are preliminary and based on the symptoms you describe. They are subject to confirmation after an inspection of your vehicle.

2.2 Inspection and Diagnosis

Final pricing depends on the actual condition of your vehicle as observed during inspection and diagnostic testing, including parts required, labor time, and parts availability. We confirm the scope, parts, and total price in writing before any repair work begins. A quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued unless otherwise stated in writing. A diagnostic fee may apply for the technician's time to trace a concern to its root cause; that fee is credited toward the repair if you have the work done with us.

2.3 Changes in Scope

If you request changes or additions to the agreed scope, or if we uncover additional concerns during the repair that were not visible during the initial inspection — such as worn parts, leaks, or hidden damage — we will communicate the change and any associated cost before proceeding with the additional work.

3. Scheduling and Turnaround

Repair timelines are estimates and may be affected by parts availability, shop capacity, and prior commitments. We will keep you informed of any schedule changes and work with you to complete the repair promptly. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, such as back-ordered parts or supplier delays.

4. Payments and Deposits

Payment terms specific to your repair are set out in your signed estimate or repair order. In general:

  • Larger repairs may require a deposit to order parts and reserve a place on the schedule. The deposit amount and schedule are stated in your repair order.
  • Final payment is due upon completion, after you have reviewed the finished repair and any replaced parts.
  • Accepted payment methods and due dates are specified in your repair order. We accept cash, major credit and debit cards, and other methods as agreed.
  • For insurance or extended-warranty repairs, you are responsible for any deductible or non-covered amounts and for authorizing the claim.

If you have concerns about any invoice or charge, contact us promptly so we can address them before final payment.

5. Workmanship and Warranty

5.1 Repair Standards

We follow industry-standard repair practices and use quality parts that meet or exceed manufacturer specifications. Our technicians diagnose and repair each concern thoroughly and stand behind the work they perform.

5.2 Warranty Coverage

Because every repair and vehicle is different, the specific workmanship and parts warranty for your repair — including what is covered, for how long, and any exclusions — is provided in your written repair order. We stand behind our work and will review warranty terms with you before work begins so you know exactly what is covered.

5.3 Exclusions

Warranty coverage generally does not cover damage caused by factors outside our control, including continued use after a known problem, misuse or off-road abuse, improper maintenance after the repair, electrical or computer issues unrelated to the repair performed, or failures caused by other worn or neglected components.

6. Customer Responsibilities and Authorization

You authorize us to perform the agreed repairs and are responsible for the cost of all work you approve. You must provide accurate information about your vehicle and its symptoms so we can diagnose and repair it correctly. If you decline a recommended repair, you acknowledge that the related concern may remain unresolved and we are not liable for consequences arising from declined work.

7. Vehicles and Liens

We take reasonable care of vehicles in our possession. Unclaimed vehicles may be subject to a mechanic's lien as provided by Washington State law for unpaid repair and storage charges. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before any such action. We are not responsible for personal items left in a vehicle; please remove valuables before drop-off.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel a repair before work begins by notifying us in writing. If a deposit has been paid and parts have not yet been ordered or labor has not begun, it will be refunded in accordance with the terms in your repair order. If special-ordered parts have been received or labor has begun, reasonable costs incurred may be deducted. Refunds for completed repairs are handled on a case-by-case basis as described in your repair order and warranty terms.

9. Use of This Website

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse it, including by attempting to interfere with its operation, submitting false information, or using any content in a way that infringes the rights of others. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Andy's Auto Services is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim related to a repair is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific work giving rise to the claim, as set out in your repair order.

11. Governing Law

These terms and any disputes arising from them or our services are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Pierce County, Washington.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised. Your continued use of our website and services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
